Stand up paddle-boarding is one of the fastest growing outdoor sports in the UK. Our 2 hour SUP taster sessions are perfect if you have very little or no experience of the sport. Your first lesson will take place either on Crantock Beach or The River Gannel depending on sea and tide conditions. You will be introduced to your equipment and the environment and how conditions will affect your paddle session. Basic paddle techniques and board control will be taught alongside beach and sea safety. All equipment is provided including full wetsuit, SUP, paddle, buoyancy aid and helmet, you only need to bring swimwear and a towel.
All SUP equipment is available to hire; boards, wetsuits, boots and buoyancy aids. Hire your equipment just for the day or the whole week, our team will give you advice on the most suitable locations for flat water paddling or to catch some waves. Hot showers, separate Male and Female changing rooms and secure lockers are available free to use for all hire and lesson customers. Our hire SUP’s are inflatable 9’0 and 10’0 boards, making them light weight and easy to carry to Fistral Beach or The River Gannel. We can include a pump and carry bag for free if you wish to transport the bag by car and re-inflate at your preferred location.

My boyfriend and I had our first ever surf lesson here with Joe. It was the highlight of our holiday in Cornwall and we had a fantastic time. The facilities in the surf school were great as well. Joe was really friendly and explained everything well, couldn’t have asked for a better instructor.
Great ‘intermediate’ surf lesson with Jo! Both my son Thomas and myself picked up a few good tips to bring back to Northumberland. Jo even found a quiet corner on Fistral to practice in!!😮 Great shop, changing facilities, lockers, showers and only the shortest of hops to the beach. We’ll deffo call again
Fantastic beginner lesson with Ryan! He made us feel so at ease and is fantastic with the children and explained everything so well! For anyone who is nervous or has no idea what they are doing I highly recommend a lesson with Ryan! Will definitely be coming back!

I had a body boarding lesson today with instructor Joe. I was a complete beginner and he was very patient. I had great fun and would definitely recommend this company to friends. Also the changing rooms were immaculate, warm and spacious, something I wasn't expecting.
