Joe Williams

Manager / Surf Coach

I was born in landlocked Hereford but caught the surfing bug whilst on holiday with my parents. I studied at university in Cornwall (completely coincidental of course!) and became a surf coach and lead coasteer during weekends and school holidays. After working on the beach coaching for four seasons I was lucky enough to be offered a management position working for the Quiksilver surf school and the rest is history! I enjoy travelling the world on surf trips and have recently come back from a winter in Indonesia.

Fun Fact:

I am well known for my Gollum from Lord of the rings impression and have even been known to deliver a surf lesson to children using it

Sarah Thomson

Surf Coach / Coasteer Assistant

I first started coaching when I was 17 and have been to Central America, North Africa, Indonesia and Europe for work. I instantly fell in love with the job and hope to work as a coach for many more years to come. I am a competitive surfer on the UKPST, riding for local companies, I work as a professional contemporary dancer and am also about to dive into the world of Ultra Marathon Running!

Fun Fact:

My nickname growing up was 'Troll' because my hair is fully mouldable and stands on end ... Come and give it a go if ya want!

Holly Donnelly

Surf Coach

I've been coaching and working here at the Quiksilver surf school for several years now. I've grown up surfing at south fistral, I started when I was 8 years old so I know the beach really well. I've competed a lot for the national team in lots of amazing places and got some lovely trophies on the mantelpiece.

Fun Fact:

The last lovely trophy I won I wasn't allowed to keep so I swiped it and whilst trying to make a quick escape my car wouldn't start so I had to be pushed out of the car park. It's in the middle of the mantelpiece.

Allannah Brown

Surf Coach

Allannah was born and raised in Newquay and has been surfing since she was a child and is a surfer on the UK Pro tour. She is a keen traveller and surfs everyday. Coaching since she was 17, she has great experience, also surf instructing abroad in Morocco, France and Australia.
